A Critical Analysis of the Basic Concepts of Feminism
Abstract
The feminist movement emerged in the West after the Renaissance. This movement has remained active for a long time for the restoration of the violated rights of women, and today it is not restricted to the West but has spread to the East as well. Western civilization, which is the pioneer of this movement, ostensibly claims rights and respect for women, but in reality it views women as a source of sexual satisfaction and a commodity. On the contrary, Islam has given real respect to women. While examining the basic concepts of feminism in the light of Islamic teachings, it is therefore important to prove that the basic concepts of feminism are not compatible with the Islamic teachings.
