Reaction to Hali’s Thought: Religious & Literal Factors
Abstract
Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali was a renowned scholar and author in Urdu literature. He was born in that era when there was a conflict going on between classic and modern. A new ideology was necessary in the wake of the glory of modern civilization which could guarantee the cultural traditions of the Muslims of Sub-continent. Hali tried to bring revolution in their lives in light of this new ideology. As a result of this effort, an ideological reaction arose with many causes and reasons. One of these factors was the strong reaction against the new interpretation of religious thoughts. This factor has been studied in this article.
