Abstract

The article in question is the fourth installment of a series of discussions consisting of a study of a few pages of Allama Tabataba'i's book "Usul Falsafa wa Rosh Realism" adorned with explanatory notes by Ustad Murtaza Motahari. In this article, in the light of the words of Allama Tabataba'i and Ustad Shaheed Murtaza Motahari, the first thing that has been examined is whether philosophical claims can be proven true or false in the light of scientific arguments. In this article, the answer to this question is negative and it has been proven that this cannot be done.

The second important point made in the present paper is that philosophy is not a fixed science in any way and if there is no change in philosophical opinions on some topics and issues, this is not a flaw of philosophy but rather its merit. Similarly, this paper has also proven that science is not allowed to open its mouth on philosophical topics at all because these issues are outside the subject of discussion of science. In addition, in the present paper, a brief but comprehensive introduction to philosophy, sophistry and materialism, as well as dialectical materialism, has also been presented.  And the mistakes of some thinkers regarding the demarcation between these schools of thought have been exposed.
