EMETERY OF MAKLI: AN IMPORTANT CULTURAL AND LITERATURAL HERITAGE
Abstract
Mukli Cemetery is the second largest cemetery in the Muslim world which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the 1980s. Unfortunately, no significant research is available on this heritage, especially for the Urdu-speaking class. There is room for a large collection of research material in the form of poems and prose fragments from Persian artefacts from Mukli's cemetery, which shows the history, cultural attitudes, and especially the funeral rites of that era, as well as the regional ways of emotional expressivity to the deceased. While highlighting the cultural significance of this cemetery, this article presents important material on Persian poetry and literature.
مکی کا قبرستان مسلم دنیا کا دوسا بڑا قبرستانہے جسے یونیسکو نے ۸۰ء کی د ہائی میں عالمی ثقافتی ورثےکادرجہ دیا۔ بدقسمتی سے ابھی تک اس ورثے کے متعلق کوئی قابل زکر تحقیق علی الخصوص اردو دان طبقے کے لئے میسر نہیں ہے۔ مکلی کے قبرستان سے فارسی آسار میں سے اشعار اور نثری ٹکڑون کی صورت میں بہت ساتحقیقی موادجمع کرنےکی گنجائش موجود ہے جو اس عہدکی تاریخ،ثقافتی رویون،اورعلی الخصوص تدفین کی رسوم ،نیز فوت شدگان سےخذباتی وابستگی کے ا ظہار کی علاقائی روشوں پرروشنی دالتاہے۔ زیرنظرمقالہ میں اس قبرستان کی ثقافتی حیثیت کواجاگرکرنےکے ضمن میں یہان موجود فارسی شعروادب کے آثارپر بھی ا ہم موا د پیش کیا گیا ہے۔
